We specialise in direct trade, specialty-grade Colombian coffee, managing the entire journey from farm to cup. By sourcing directly from producers and handling our own import, roasting and distribution, we guarantee transparency, freshness and fairness at every step.

Our Story
Velvet was established in 2013 by Ilse Geyskens, with the vision of bringing Colombian coffee to Belgium and Belgian coffee culture to Colombia. Her journey led her down beautiful paths, connecting with some of the finest coffee farmers in the industry, including Nestor Lasso and Wilton Benitez. Along the way, she established Velvet coffee (formerly Café Velvet) locations in both Medellín, Colombia, and Brussels, Belgium.
